Artist
Liza Jansen
Liza Jansen (1985, Amsterdam) tries to capture the rhythm and poetry of contemporary life. In her work, passers-by transform into participants in an unspoken narrative. Figures glimpsed through doorways, shadows stretching across streets, or small gestures of hands and clothing caught in transit. Through attentive observation of unnoticed details, Liza Jansen challenges the act of seeing itself: What do we perceive in the constant motion of urban life? What do the gestures, reflections, and interactions around us reveal? Her work opens a space for reflection and imagination.
