Holly van de Coevering is an artist with a background in architecture and illustration. She has now returned to her first love, painting and is exploring abstraction through painting on canvas. Her past experience gives her an affinity with interiors and a desire to make abstract work that enhances people’s daily spaces.

Holly draws on her lived experience of nature and emotion to create abstract paintings that explore a sense of space or landscape. Her paintings are an atmospheric and emotional experience hallmarked by layers of colour and mark making. Her paintings toy with the idea of ‘the mind’s eye’, inviting the viewer to ask questions; hovering around the grey area between figuration and abstraction.
