Artist
Heleen
In her studio in Amsterdam, Heleen works mainly with natural materials and pigments such as coffee, matcha, and handmade cotton paper. These are materials that resist control and follow their own course, making each piece unique. While creating, she explores the tension between control and surrender: between what her hands want and what the material itself decides to do. The unpredictability of the process reminds her that in life, too, beauty only emerges when you let go of control and dare to trust what arises. Her work invites slowness, stillness, and the trust that everything unfolds exactly as it is meant to.
